City of Eureka Covid vaccine policy

Given that it is now known that the covid vaccines do not prevent infection or transmission or exactly how much they really reduce symptoms, do you support the ongoing vaccine mandate that the city of Eureka has in place?

I support the right of private businesses and government agencies to have a vaccine mandate for their own employees.    Especially those that deal a lot with the public.

We have the vaccine mandate in my office and the employees are happy we do.

G. Mario Fernandez

Yes, I support the policy after reviewing it. The policy provides for both medical and religious exemptions, and even states the policy may be suspended once “circumstances have sufficiently improved.” As for the efficacy of the vaccine, I need to rely on the studies and and information of the specialists in their respective field. This means reviewing a lot of different sources and taking input from our local and state health officials; however, I believe this link (https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/) serves as a decent primer regarding the discussion of current vaccines and COVID-19.
