No. I am a registered Independent since 2017 that votes progressive. I am an environmentalist that is pro-choice, pro-immigration, and I support equal rights for marginalized groups. 

I wrote an article that went viral in 2017 wherein I identified myself as a registered republican.  I used the absurd long list of labels to demonstrate a paradox or false dichotomy. Yes I was a stay at home mom but also a business consultant, yes pro-life but also 100% pro-choice voter, and yes a registered republican but a feminist and one that rejected Trump.  I knew that there were others like me but they were largely silent. I hoped it would get them to speak up too.

City Council is a nonpartisan office. Anyone who is elected should be considerate and respectful of everyone regardless of political affiliation. We still have more in common as human beings than we don’t. We can’t give up on each other or our community.
