Well, this looks pleasant. Thursday’s Redwood Jazz Alliance show — the last of the 2012/13 season — features jazz singer René Marie filling Morris Graves Museum with simultaneously tough but tender vocals. Watch her talk about what inspires her craft in the video above.

Make sure you pack some jammies if you head to the Graves. Not because Marie will put you to sleep (that won’t happen). But because then you’ll be ready to walk across the street to the Eureka Inn for Pressure/Anya’s Dirty Thursday Pajama Party.
