The Old Arcata Road renewal project will be reviewed by the County Planning Commission this thursday. At issue is the planned roundabout at Jacoby Creek Road and Old Arcata Road which was approved by the Arcata city council. What is your position on this project?

I support the round-about at Jacoby Creek Road and Old Arcata Road conversance. It has gone through the City of Arcata process and when it came before the Historic Landmarks Committee, on which I serve, and we supported it as a safer way to provide for automobiles, bicyclists, and pedestrians at this two-road intersection. I believe it is a suitable solution for the Bayside corners will provide needed safety.
