SaturDay has a Night Section Too
Your Lost Coast Outpost has already made a big deal out of the numerous Saturday daytime events (see our previous attempt to round ‘em up here). But in the off chance some of you still have the desire for a night out, by golly, you have options there as well:
- Sara Milonovich, Arcata Playhouse: The fine folks at Humboldt Folklife Society supply the talent again, this time in the form of fiddler and composer Milonovich who’ll be joined by guitarist Greg Anderson.
- Ishi Dube CD Release, Jambalaya: Music doesn’t get much more local than Ishi Dube. Humboldt’s dancehall party starter releases his album Mr. Music at the Jam tonight supported by the Tuff Riddims band. $15 gets you in the door — an additional ten spot gets you an album to take home.
- Random Rab, Arcata Theatre Lounge: The latest in a string of electronic music artists to 1) mix in live instrumentation and 2) make the trek to HumCo.
- Late Night with Sherae, Palm Lounge: Comedienne and KSLG DJ Sherae O’Shaugnessy hosts her monthly live talk show after Arts Alive at the Eureka Inn with guests Savage Henry editor Chris Durant, local artist Sonny Wong and musical guest Space Biscuit.
