Between 4 and 5 this evening, large numbers of law enforcement vehicles heading north kept Highway 101 humming.  One southbound driver counted 14 between Eureka and Loleta including a small convoy of 6 traveling tightly.  A further 6 police conveyances were seen between Loleta and the Salmon Creek exit just south of Myers Flat for a total of 20 altogether. Different agencies insignia were displayed and a few were unmarked. This large number far surpasses the normal 1 or 2 seen on this stretch of road.

Yesterday, a rumor of a drug bust in the Garberville area was heard but no actual details have been confirmed.
