Let me tell you why I’m voting for Barbara Truitt. For almost 30 years I’ve shared talk and tears and truths with her. I’ve known her through some pretty tough times. She has a will of iron and a heart of gold.  She is passionate about helping her community.  She’s served on multiple boards—-the Community Credit Union, SoHum School District, Mateel Community Center, Redwoods Rural Health Center, SoHum Economic Development Corporation, and the Redway Community Services District.  And always her dedication, her commitment to mediation, and willingness to talk have smoothed conflicts.

The current problems dividing our Healthcare district which has resulted in the loss of many of our medical personnel needs someone with her mediation experience and her practical business acumen.  She knows our community and has the wisdom and communication skills to bridge the divides between differing factions. For all the time I’ve known her, I’ve admired and respected her. We’re lucky she has decided to run for the Southern Humboldt Healthcare District Board.  She’s got my vote.  I hope she gets yours.
