FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into a home invasion robbery that occurred in Weitchpec last night. At about 8:30 p.m. deputies were called to a residence on Lake Prairie Road after receiving reports of gunfire. Deputies arrived at the residence and learned that three people had arrived at the home and knocked on the door. The resident recognized the three and let them in. Upon entering the home, all three brandished firearms and ordered the man to sit down. The man’s wife heard the commotion and started to walk downstairs. One of the suspects was standing at the bottom of the stairs and ordered the wife not to come down. The suspects stole five firearms during the robbery. While they were inside the house the suspects fired their weapons several times, striking walls, windows, and a sliding glass door. No injuries were reported. The suspects then fled in a vehicle. The three suspects have been identified as:

Jackson Surber, 29 of Hoopa. Surber is an Indian male adult, about 185 pound and 5’5” tall. He has multiple tattoos including three feathers on his right arm with the word “Hupa.” He has long black hair and brown eyes. [pictured above]

Sonia Hunsucker, 29 of Hoopa. Hunsucker is an Indian female adult, about 5’3” tall and 160 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Hunsucker has a tattoo on her left arm of her Middle name “Iexion” with feathers. She also has a six inch scar on her neck.

Lorence Bailey, 17 of Hoopa. Bailey is an Indian male juvenile. No further description of Bailey is available.

The suspects fled in a dark color sedan with one headlamp, front end damage and no front windshield. The suspects should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information regarding this case or the suspects should call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251.
