What does this mean, and why does it sound vaguely menacing? From the Eureka Police Department:
Between 8/25/11 and 8/26/11, unknown suspect(s) cut the lock forcibly entered the yard of a local business. Once in the yard, suspect(s) stole 9,000 pounds of used batteries that were stored for recycling.
The lead acid batteries consisted of car and motorcycle. There were also six (6) golf cart batteries with yellow spray paint from a motor home. These batteries have a white body and a dark colored top. Some of the batteries were solar.
