12:31 UPDATE:

No bomb, says Courtney Hunt-Munther of St. Joe’s. She added that, after moving a few scheduled surgeries from the North Coast Surgical Center, everything at the hospital is back to normal.

The Times-Standard reports that an empty box caused the kerfuffle:

“The box was X-rayed and the probed by a bomb squad robot that turned the box over at which time the box was found to be empty. The clinic remains evacuated and some emergency personnel remain on the scene.”

We expect more information later today from the Sheriff’s department.
