If you’ve ever strolled along Arcata’s Tavern Row, you’ve stepped over what seems like countless cigarette butts littering the sidewalk. Well, today, someone counted.
Over 2,400 butts (and a few dozen tobacco- related items such as cigarette packs and disposable lighters) were collected in a Plaza clean-up sponsored by Tobacco-Free Humboldt in collaboration with the Tobacco Education Network Community Coalition and the United Indian Health Services Teen Advisory Group.
