The scanner is alive right now with a whole bunch of police officers who have chased a runner at high speed through the Loleta Bottoms and so to the beach. After driving at 70 or 80 mph down Loleta surface streets, on the wrong side of the road, the suspect took his rig onto the beach round about Table Bluff and pointed it down toward Crab Park.

Police are summoning 4x4’s to the area.

One call into the station indicated that the chase originated in the Eureka area.
