Yesterday afternoon, 14 year old Kevin Tommila Jr. went hiking with friends. They became separated and couldn’t find him. He was last seen around 3pm. About 8:30 pm, the police received a report about the missing boy. The police dept., the Fortuna Fire Dept. and community members began searching the area. At 10:30 pm Humboldt County Search and Rescue joined the search.
The search continued through the night with ATV’s and on foot. However, as of this morning, Tommila is still missing.
Poor kid. It was cold last night. It is only 37 degrees there this morning at 8. I hope his family gets to hug him soon.
