KMUD News and SoHum Awareness are reporting that a 10-acre wildfire in Briceland is threatening homes. The CHP has shut down the Briceland Road.
UPDATE, 12:15 p.m.: KMUD reports that the fire has been contained, but that crews are still out there putting out the remaining flames. Estelle Fennell posted the following picture of a helicopter drop on SoHum Awareness:
UPDATE, 11:45 p.m: The fire seems to be right about here, according to CHP Traffic. (See map below.) The CHP is also saying that there’s one-way controlled access down Briceland Road at the moment — no word how long this might continue. As always in such cases, SoHum Awareness is your best resource.
