All over the state, faculty took California State University Chancellor Charles Reed to task today, calling for his metaphorical head in response to what they say are broken promises.

Up at HSU’s quad, what at first appeared to be an expanded and better color-coordinated version of Occupy Humboldt was indeed staff on the picket line. They did align with the Occupy movement, chanting, “We are, we teach, the 99 percent!” as well as offering up Union songs and more specific-to-their-cause chants — “Fund education, not administration!” — plus signs, T-shirts and the handing out of fact sheets, proving once again these teacher-types are organized and prepared.
