From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On 10-11-2011, approximately 10:00 am Humboldt County Sheriffs Deputies were called to 1500 Block of Dillon Road, Ferndale regarding the strong odor of marijuana and the sounds of fans coming from a residence. The deputies made contact with the resident who admitted to cultivating marijuana and initially claimed it was a medical marijuana grow operation, however as the deputies continued with their investigation his story changed.

The deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence, which was signed by a Humboldt County Superior Court Judge.

When the deputies served the search warrant they located 309 pounds of processed marijuana. The deputies arrested Jason Meisner, 37 years old of Eureka for cultivation of marijuana and violation of California State Parole. He is being held without bail. Deputies also arrested Steven Rudnicki, 41 years old of Ferndale for cultivation of marijuana. His bail was set at $30,000.00. Both were booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
