Feds Reportedly Choose Indisputable Good Guy for First North Coast Raid
UPDATE, 3:20 p.m.: The Ukiah Daily Journal has a story up.
Kym Kemp, Lake County News and the LA Weekly are all saying that Northstone Organics in Ukiah was raided by the Drug Enforcement Agency today — apparently the first action taken on the North Coast as part of the big federal crackdown announced last week.
Northstone and its owner, Matt Cohen, have been at the forefront of Mendocino County’s licensing system — popularly known as the “ziptie” program — and on multiple occasions have spoken to the media plainly and forthrightly about what it is they do.
“To go after him is to strike a blow in favor of the Mexican cartels,” NORML’s Dale Gieringer told the Weekly.
