Damn! Our craziest Congressional race in 18 years just got crazier!

Into the inbox comes news that the North Coast’s premier 215-friendly physician is diving straight into an already crowded pool with a two-day rager in Piercy later this month. Music by Ishe Dube and Junior Reed! Speeches from former Congressman Dan Hamburg and Mendo County Sheriff Tom Allman!

You might be tempted to write off Courtney as a novelty candidate with no hope of actually winning. To be fair — you are probably right. But consider the wackiness of next year’s race at present: Establishment candidate Jared Huffman, famous lefty activist Norman Solomon, health care advocate and Marin County Supervisor Susan Adams, as well as at least a few others on the left/Dem side. Then throw in the massive name recognition Courtney maintains among a, uh, certain segment of the North Coast population. 

Add the crucial fact that Courtney isn’t actually a la Elizondo bonkers — seems to be a pretty smart dude, actually — and you just might have something here! Probably not, but just maybe!
