Humboldt CO. Sheriff’s Press Release:

On 12-7-2012, approximately 4:00 a.m., the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Redwood Memorial Hospital that a gun shot victim was brought into the emergency room. A citizen had found the victim “staggering” on State Route Highway 36, near Bridgeville at a turnout, and transported the victim to the hospital. The victim is a 24 year old white male who resides in Hydesville. When deputies met with the victim he told deputies he could not remember much. He said he had hitchhiked out to the Bridgeville area from Hydesville, on 12-6-2012 during the day. He had three different people pick him up and provide him rides. The victim has provided little information so far to investigators. The victim is being treated for a non- life threatening injury. The case is still under investigation.
