Mendocino County Sheriffs Deputies with the assistance from Ukiah Police Officers responded to a residence on Guidiville Road. On arrival they contacted the reporting parties (who were residing at the residence). The reporting parties advised the deputies that they were all awoken by at least two suspects, one being armed with a shotgun, who were attempting to steal marijuana from the location. One of the residents fled the location and went to a neighbors residence where the 911 call was made from.
The residents advised that no one was injured and nothing was removed from the residence. They advised the two attempted robbery suspects were white male adults and had fled in a light colored vehicle.
Deputies summoned assistance from the detectives unit, as it appeared a commercial marijuana operation was taking place at the residence and a search warrant would be needed.
