Fortuna Police Dept. Press Release:
On 6-4-2012 at approximately 0050 hours, an officer with the Fortuna Police Department responded to the area of the National 9 Inn at 819 Main Street for the report of a male subject causing a disturbance and exposing himself. Upon arrival in the area, officers were unable to locate anyone matching the description given by the reporting person. While checking the area, officers observed a subject that had an outstanding arrest warrant. The subject fled the area and officers eventually located Oryan Shane Bramlett age 29 from Fortuna, hiding at a nearby residence. Officers took Bramlett into custody without incident.
While dealing with Bramlett, officers were informed of an altercation that had taken place at the National 9 Inn, where a subject had brandished a revolver at another citizen. Officers responded to the National 9 Inn and after a short investigation, officers located Steven Mathew Corbera located inside one of the rooms. Corbera was found to be concealing a loaded .357 Magnum revolver in his waistband. Corbera was taken into custody without incident, and charged with being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm, violation of felony probation, felon in possession of ammunition and giving false information to a police officer.
