There is flooding at Elk River Road at Wrigley Road intersection southeast of Eureka. According to local Angela Tellez who took the photo, “It floods like this at least once a year, though this year this is the third time it’s flooded this much. It’s from the hole in the Headwaters, all the logging over here and it’s getting worse every year.”

In fact there is localized flooding in several areas throughout the county due to the storm system.  Trees and rock slides have kept County crews busy. The rain is slowing tonight but a cold front is moving in which is expected to drop snow levels down to 1000 feet by Sunday.
