Senator Evans was in Humboldt County over the weekend, hiking in the redwoods and meeting with representatives from Ocean Conservancy and Humboldt Baykeeper.(Disclosure: Humboldt Baykeeper co-produces programming in parternship with KHUM.)
Asked about her future as a state senator, she said that “every lawyer’s dream is to end up on the bench. I’ve been in the state legislature since 2004. At some point it’s going to be time for somebody else to come along and take this position.”
She spoke with KHUM about what she’d say to Grover Norquist if she were stuck in an elevator with him, Jerry Brown’s budget, and how she’s handling her reduced travel budget.
