An Arcata woman, Kelsey Ferguson, 24, and an Oakland man, Jason Holohan, 33 were arrested Wednesday behind a Denny’s restaurant near the Hayward-Union City border when police said they smelled the odor of cannabis coming from a vehicle in which the two were parked.

A search of the vehicle revealed 20 pounds of marijuana and 17 grams of hashish according to a piece in today’s Marin Independent Journal.

They must have been smoking the stuff—taste testing in public can be hazardous to your freedom. Although I have smelt some cars in Humboldt that wouldn’t get far anywhere else—Sometimes the smell is intense.
