The Occupy Movement plans to use today, May 1st, to refocus attention on the issue of income inequality among others. Huge protests are planned but will they come to fruition? 

Oakland once again is a hotbed of activity for the Occupy Movement. An incredible crowd map by local blogger, Mikal Jakubal, constantly is updated to show a torrent of protests from simple chalk drawings (love>money) to a full scale tear gassing of protesters with some being tasered.

Areas around the country are heating up.  Will the protests build? Will a hibernating movement spring forth newly revitalized? Or will it fizzle?
