From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:
On 05-30-2012, approximately 3:00 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office Community Response Unit (C.R.U.) , served a Humboldt County Superior Court Search Warrant in the 1200 block of Landis Road, McKinleyville. The C.R.U. was acting on a tip they received on the Sheriff’s Office Tip Line. When the warrant was served deputies located fifty-six, three to four foot tall growing marijuana plants inside the residence, along with eighteen pounds of dried marijuana.
The entire residence had been converted to a marijuana grow, and no one was living in the home. An expired out of area medical 215 card was posted in the residence. The Humboldt County Building Department and Pacific Gas & Electric were notified and responded to the scene. The electrical meter was removed from the home. The investigation into the responsible parties is continuing.
