The CHP is reporting traffic backup following an earlier crash in the southbound northbound lane of Highway 101 just before the Highway 299 off ramp. The earlier accident which CHP listed as a traffic hazard was a two car collision that resulted in one patient with minor injuries. As of 3:30 P.M. traffic was backed up to Sunset Ave. in Arcata.
