Incumbent Eureka City Councilmember Linda Atkins has widened her lead over challenger Joe Bonino in an updated tally released by the Humboldt County Elections Office today. With 1,353 additional Eureka ballots counted after the Nov. 6 election night final count, Atkins has now has 328 more votes than Bonino — up from a 208-vote advantage in the Nov. 6 report.

The not-quite-final-report: 51.2 percent Atkins, 47.6 percent Bonino. 

Meanwhile, Ferndale City Councilmember Stu Titus has gained six votes in the race for Ferndale mayor, giving him a solid advantage over stealth challenger Ken Weller.
