Final UPDATE: 101 open to two way traffic.

UPDATE 6:41 P.M.: The CHP is reporting that HWY 101 is now open to one way controlled traffic.

UPDATE TO FULL CLOSURE OF US-101, NORTH OF WILLITS
 
An AT&T repair crew arrived at the scene of the traffic collision at 4:07 pm.  The continued closure of US-101, north of Willits, is estimated to be 2 to 3 hours.  A detour has been established for northbound and southbound traffic on US-101.  For northbound traffic, motorists are advised to take E. Commercial Street to Hearst Willits Road to Reynolds Highway.  For southbound traffic, motorists are advised to take Reynolds Highway to Hearst Willits Road to E. Commercial Street.  Expect up to 30 minute delays while repair crews and the California Highway Patrol clear the collision scene.

UPDATE from the CHP:

FULL CLOSURE OF US-101, NORTH OF WILLITS DUE TO TRAFFIC COLLISION
 
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has set up a full closure of US-101, north of Willits, due to a single vehicle property damage only traffic collision that caused power and data lines to block the roadway.  Northbound and southbound traffic on US-101 is being diverted to Reynolds Highway.  The CHP has estimated the duration of the closure to be six hours.  The California Highway Patrol Garberville Area is investigating the traffic collision.

Accident just north of Willits has closed Hwy 101.  Estimated time of opening around 5 P.M.  Meanwhile traffic is being rerouted through Reynolds Hwy.  The incident is a no injury accident.  Power lines are down.
