From the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On 10-18-2012 at about 0830 hours the Humboldt County Drug Task Force conducted a probation search at Diana Leigh Rostow’s residence located in the 2200 block of Burns Drive, Humboldt Hill. When Agents arrived at the residence they located Diana Rostow in the residence along with her live in boyfriend, Dylan Paul Davis.

Agents located a commercial marijuana growing operation in the residence. Agents seized 121 growing marijuana plants that ranged in size from 8 inches to 3 feet in height. Agents seized 13 pounds of dried marijuana from inside of the residence.

When Drug Task Force Agents searched the garage they located evidence of a marijuana butane hash lab. Agents seized 359 full cans of butane fuel from the garage.

Agents arrested Diana Rostow age 30 for cultivation and possession for sales of marijuana, manufacturing of a controlled substance and maintaining a residence for distributing of a controlled substance and for violation of probation. Dylan Davis was arrested for possession for sales of marijuana and for manufacturing on a controlled substance. Rostow and Davis were both transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility and their bail was set at $500,000 dollars each.

When Agents were at the residence they noticed a possible electrical fire hazard with the indoor marijuana cultivation that was occurring in the bedroom. Agents contacted Humboldt County Building and Planning Department, who then responded to the scene. After inspecting the electrical wiring associated with the indoor marijuana growing operation, Humboldt County Building and Planning Department determined there was a possible fire hazard. Humboldt County Building and Planning Department then contacted PG&E to have the electrical power turned off to the residence.

This case is still under investigation by the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.
