Humboldt Co. Sheriff’s Press Release:
On 09-11-2012, approximately 1:00 a.m. the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office was notified of an assault that occurred at the Brass Rail Bar, Redway. When the deputy arrived he met with the 22 year old male victim, who was visiting Redway from Washington, D.C. Deputies saw the victim had several lacerations on the right side of his face. Medical personnel were summoned to the scene for medical aid and the victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
The victim and his 23 year old brother, also from Washington D.C., told the deputy they were drinking in the bar when a male they had just met suddenly stuck the victim in the face with a pint glass, causing the glass to shatter. The suspect then fled the bar on foot prior to law enforcements arrival.
The victim and his brother provided the deputies with a suspect description and a possible name. The suspect is described as: White male, early 20’s, skinny build, wearing a grey and black sweatshirt.
The Sheriff’s Office is not releasing the possible suspect name at this time until the investigating deputy is able to confirm the suspect’s identity.
