On 09-27-2012, approximately 12:40 p.m., a citizen called the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and reported a male subject walked out of a wooded area and said he had just been stabbed. The male contacted the citizen and requested to use his phone to call 911. Deputies and medical responded to Pinecrest Court, Eureka and met with the citizen and the 31 year old male stabbing victim. The male had been stabbed in the ear, neck, shoulder blade and side. The male refused to cooperate with deputies and did not wish to give a statement about what happened. Deputies determined the male had been stabbed in a nearby mobile home park at 525 Herrick Avenue, Eureka. Deputies searched the mobile home and surrounding area for a suspect or witnesses. Based on witness statements deputies believe they know which mobile home the stabbing occurred in, however no one could or would provide suspect information. The victim received sutures for his injuries and was expected to be treated and released from the hospital.
