Humboldt Co. Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect in the December 17th robbery of the Palco Pharmacy in Scotia. (See previous story here.)

Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Detectives were able to identify the suspect in the Palco Pharmacy as Samuel Zarth Rogers, 22 years old from Hydesville. Detectives learned the suspect left Humboldt County the day of the robbery to Pennsylvania to visit family for the holidays. On December , 2013, Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Detectives obtained a Humboldt County Superior Court arrest warrant for the Rogers for robbery and burglary, with a bail amount of $250,000.00. Sheriff’s Detectives learned Rogers was scheduled to fly back to Sacramento, California today, so they alerted Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office which is responsible for Sacramento International Airport Security.
At 3:00 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office was notified by Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office that Rogers was arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant as he exited the aircraft which just landed at the airport. Arrangements are being made to transport Rogers back to Humboldt County.
