From the Eureka Police Department:

On 02/12/13 Officers with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) responded to the greenbelt area west of the Bayshore Mall in response to numerous complaints of illegal campers and increased police calls for service.

As a result of their enforcement activity, two warrant arrests were made, one citation was issued for an outstanding citable warrant, and 14 citations were issued for 22 different Eureka Municipal Code violations.
