UPDATE 8:11 P.M.: A reader says that they took down the number on the helicopter.  It was n65pj.  A helicopter with that number is registered to P J Helicopters, Inc  out of Red Bluff. That company rents to utility companies, as well as law enforcement, construction, and others.

Multiple people are telling us that a strange helicopter is circling Arcata very, very low right now. LoCOer Jen Savage got a short video from afar. This is a screenshot.

Says a GChat correspondent:

3:19 p.m.: what the heck tho. that shit was low

3:20 p.m.: and back again… man… feels like i’m back out in the hills of sohum

A little over an hour ago, LoCO Facebook friend Gail Belisle reported that a strange helicopter was buzzing Rio Dell.

Anyone else have any reports? Can you describe this thing? As much information as possible will help us to nail it down.
