Smoke can be seen from Hwy 101 from a new fire on the Scotia Bluffs across the railroad tracks. A reader is saying that there is lots of smoke and the fire appears to be heading east. Scanner traffic indicates that Cal Fire is responding with a helicopter to the fire. Access by road might be difficult in such rough terrain. LoCO will update as soon as more information is available.
