Press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On June 19, 2013 at about 2:15pm an inmate work crew was clearing brush near the wooded area of the Humboldt Botanical Gardens on the campus of College of the Redwoods. A Correctional Officer supervising the work crew noticed an inmate, Lance D Henry, 24 years old of Fortuna, had not returned from using the restroom. The officer found a blue jail issued shirt on the ground and determined that Henry had walked away from the work crew. Henry was serving 364 days in jail for a violation of probation. His release date was scheduled for October 25, 2013.

Lance D. Henry is described as follows: White male, 6‘1” tall, approximately 155 lbs, black hair, brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black work boots.

All local law enforcement agencies have been notified to be on the look out for Henry.
