LoCO reader Chris Larsen of North Coast Audio sent in this security cam video of a car crash in Eureka that took place at the corner of Fifth and C streets at 11:17 a.m. this morning.

According to Larsen: “One passenger was taken away by ambulance. The workers at Denny’s were kind and brought out chairs for the visibly distraught driver. EPD and EFD were on the scene within two minutes of the collision.”

Larsen goes on to estimate that at least one collision occurs at this intersection each month. He also notes that the driver of the Taurus did stop and pull over since that’s not clear in the clip. Video below.
