UPDATE 3:10 P.M.: Roadway now is open to two lane traffic.

UPDATE 1:46 P.M.: Doug Bryan is now updating with information that Briceland road will continue to have controlled traffic west of Ettersburg junction while Cal Fire and Cal Trans crews work to clean up fluids spilled from the earlier crash.

UPDATE 1:34 P.M.: CHP dispatch is now reporting a hazmat situation with gasoline in the creek. Fire crew are damming the creek to keep it from spreading.  Reportedly the fluid has moved 100 yards downstream. The Dept. of Fish and Wildlife are being notified.

UPDATE 12:57 P.M.:  The westbound lane is closed and an ambulance is on its way.

The CHP is reporting an accident on Briceland Rd. Doug Bryan  a public information team member of the Southern Humboldt Fire Chief’s Association writes that the accident occurred  a half mile west of the Ettersburg/Briceland Road junction. According to Bryan, Cal Fire, Telegraph Ridge Fire, Bureau of Land Management Fire and Briceland fire have been called out to respond.  Avoid the area if you can.
