Press release from Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On 06-22-2013, approximately 7:15 p.m. the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office was notified of a brandishing of a firearm which just occurred in the 4700 block of Meyers Avenue, Eureka. When deputies arrived they met with a 52 year old male victim and a 54 year old male victim. The deputy spoke with the male victims. They told the deputy the 54 year old male was the homeowner and the 52 year old brother was visiting with him. Just before the deputies arrival they saw a white male adult approach the residence on the south side. They confronted the male suspect and asked what he was doing and why he was on their property. The male suspect who was wearing sunglasses, removed his sunglasses and responded, “It’s me Daniel”. Neither of the male victims had seen the suspect before and told him to leave their property. The male suspect then reached into his pocket and removed a Crown Royal Bag that contained a small handgun in it. The male pointed the gun a few feet away from the 52 year old victims face and said, “How would you like to die punk”. The suspect was shaking nervously when he pointed the gun. Both victims believed they were going to be shot. The male then ran away south on Meyers Avenue towards Higgins Street, Eureka. Deputies checked the area and located a witness who said the suspect was last seen heading into the woods at the south end of Crane Street. The area was checked and no one was located.

The suspect is described as follows: White male, dark complexion, mid twenties, short dark hair, approximately 170 lbs, 5’ 7” tall, wearing blue pants, blue button up shirt, blue baseball hat tilted sideways, wearing large bluish tinted sunglasses. Possibly named “Daniel”
