Humboldt Co. Sheriff Press Release:

On 06-24-2013 a fundraiser was held for Konar Davenport, a 9-year old boy from Eureka who is diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. The fundraiser was held and sponsored by Babes Pizza Parlor, Eureka. Konar had expressed that he always wanted to be a Deputy Sheriff. The Humboldt County Deputy Sheriff’s Organization learned of Konar’s wish. They worked with Sheriff Downey and purchased a uniform and shadow box for Konar.

Humboldt County Deputy Sheriff Hilary Havens showed up at Konar’s fundraiser and presented him with the uniform and shadow box last evening. Konar was also made an honorary Humboldt County Deputy Sheriff.
