Friend of the LoCO Mark McKenna tells us that there was a pretty bad accident at the corner of Del Norte and I streets shortly after 1 p.m. Del Norte is currently closed, McKenna says, and two lanes of I Street are shut.

McKenna reports that police are currently questioning the driver, who “looks visibly shaken.” The pedestrian who was struck was a young female, possibly a juvenile, and she suffered what McKenna judged to be moderate to serious injuries.

More information as we get it.
