An estimated 200 people showed up to show support for the local RN’s in their picket of St. Joesph’s Hospital in Eureka. This protest was part of a coordinated effort by nurses at locations in Apple Valley, Petaluma, Santa Rosa, and Eureka. This part of what nurses characterized as an effort to protect patients by bringing in more staff and ensure fair bargaining.
Nurses, in home care workers, Central Labor Council members, teachers, and other well wishers waved signs and held vigil for around two hours on Wednesday evening.
