The Sheriff’s office has confirmed that some sort of law enforcement action happened out in eastern Humboldt yesterday afternoon.  A press release will be coming out this morning.

A witness reports by email that he saw  around 20 law enforcement vehicles headed out Hwy 36.  He describes “lots of govt vehicles, sheriff’s convoy w/2 cargo trailers and large trucks along with regular sheriff squad cars heading towards mad river around 3:30.  Rough estimate prob upwards of 20 vehicles in all.  Seemed late in the day for a raid, but they did have a plane fly a grid in that area for hours yesterday.”
