On 3-1-2013, approximately 7:15 p.m. Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Deputies met with a female who was identified as Monica Jung Bresee, 29 years old, from Eureka, at the Sheriff’s Office. Bresee came into the Sheriff’s Office after learning a video of her attempting to rob Fairway market was on the news. Bresee told the investigating deputy she was the person on the video and admitted to telling the clerk she was robbing him, but said it was a joke. Bresee was arrested for attempted robbery of Fairway Market, Eureka.

Deputies had also been looking for Bresee from an incident which occurred on 02-26-2013, approximately 4:00 p.m. at a residence in the 2200 block of Wycliff Lane, Eureka. Bresee was wanted for driving her 1988 Toyota into the garage door of the residence of her ex-boyfriend during an argument and driving away. The garage sustained over $2000.00 in damage.

Bresee was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional facility on charges of attempted robbery, felony vandalism, violation of a court order and hit and run. Her bail is set at $75,000.00.
