From the Eureka Police Department:
On 05/28/13, detectives with the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Unit (POP) severed a search warrant in the 300 block of Orchard St. in Eureka. The search warrant was served in response to numerous complaints of a possible Marijuana grow at this location.
During the service of the search warrant, detectives discovered an indoor Marijuana grow inside the attached garage of the residence. Three subjects, who were inside the residence at the time, were detained and later released. Amongst other items of evidence, detectives seized 269 immature Marijuana plants and a .45 caliber pistol. Additionally, PG&E responded and disconnected the electrical service to the residence; due to unsafe wiring installed to operate the Marijuana grow.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
