From the Eureka Police Department:

On 5/29/13 at 9:11 a.m. officers responded to the 1600 block of California for a disturbance call. Officers contacted residents Thomas Aaron Kough 23, of Eureka and Shawnee Nikita Foster, 21, of Eureka. Foster was discovered to be on felony probation for numerous theft convictions.

Officers searched their residence pursuant to Foster’s probation status and discovered evidence of possession of illegal drugs and suspected stolen property taken during a recent burglary which had occurred in the area of Buhne and O Streets.

Kough and Foster were arrested for possession of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

Suspected stolen property found at the residence was secured. Victims of the Buhne and O Street burglary were later contacted and positively identified items taken from their home that were found at the California Street address.

“One of the items we recovered, which we believe could be stolen, is a Mac Book Pro laptop with a screen saver photo of a dog. If anyone is missing this item, please contact Eureka Police Department’s property department,” said Officer Endsley.

“Foster has been arrested numerous times and released and placed on probation each time.  On this most recent arrest she was released within hours of our officers transporting her to jail,” said Police Chief Murl Harpham.

“At this time there is nothing preventing her from continuing to commit thefts,” Harpham said.
