UPDATE 5 P.M.: Caltrans is reporting the road is open to one way controlled traffic. The agency tweeted, “HUM-36 open to one-way traffic overnight 1.7 miles west of the Humboldt-Trinity County Line. Expect delays.”
ORIGINAL POST:LoCO has received several reports of a tree down blocking Hwy 36 east of Dinsmore. PG&E is reporting that electric lines went down about 9:50 this morning and power is out for between 50 and 500 customers. They are estimating it will be quarter to 3 this afternoon before power is restored.
Because of the remote location CHP, as of 11 A.M., had not yet reached the site. They have a unit enroute. Updates can be found here.
Caltrans, however, is reporting the road closed one mile west of the Trinity/Humboldt line. Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
