The Humboldt Co. Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that today they are at a home near Dinsmore that was the subject of a home invasion attempt earlier this year. At that time, a woman was shot and a man beaten.
According to the Sheriff’s press release in the early hours of June 11th, a neighbor of the property called 911 asking for help. A 27 year old woman had been shot and a 55 year old man had been severely beaten. The woman was airlifted to an out of the area hospital. The man was taken to a local hospital. Logan Bremer was later arrested for the crime.
Earlier this week, law enforcement was called to the same residence in the 37000 block of Highway 36 near Dinsmore about a robbery in progress. This turned out to be not as reported. However, today, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is out to the home again (see report of officers headed out Hwy 36 earlier) but they are not ready to comment on the situation.
