An unknown but clearly significant number of people are without power in the Eureka outskirts at the moment. PG&E has yet to have any information up on its outage map, but multiple people are confirming the outage to KHUM and the Outpost.
An Outpost readers write:
Power Line blew about 8:15 p.m. — F Street by the golf course. Huge flash of light. Power out in surrounding area. Cars being redirected.
And a KHUM caller suggests that the traffic backup, or perhaps closure, extends out to the Herrick Avenue exit. The caller believe he saw lines on the road.
